Fall of Kingdoms
Gaahl is an unusually sinister looking elf rogue with a thirst for blood driven by revenge.
Gaahl stands at 6’1" and is athletic and agile with a light build. He has long, straight black hair that is pulled back into a pony tail that reaches the backs of his knees. The hair on the sides of his head is shaved off. He is pale with a small wiry beard that is split into two descending spikes. He bears a deep scar above his left eye from an encounter with a skeleton. His ears are notched with scars as well. His eyes are sunken and dark, as he eats and sleeps little. He wears black leather armor that fits tightly and shines with fresh oil, but shows signs of heavy wear. A similarly maintained black trench coat is worn over his armor. Black boots with many silver buckles and straps adorn his legs to just below the knee. He appears well groomed at all times, but has an air of the occult about him. A clever observer would notice a large dagger stashed close at hand in the front of the coat, as well as a ring he wears with a silver band and a small black stone inscribed with the symbol of Hexxtor. He utilizes his harsh appearance to infiltrate and sabatoge evil organizations.
Gaahl watched his parents get ritualistically butchered by an evil sorcerer of Hexxtor when he was 14. He then returned the favor. He spent the rest of his childhood alone on his family’s property where the massacre happened. He met a druid while wandering in the forest who paid him to do odd jobs, and taught him what he knew about the occult. A Cathedral is no place for a character such as Gaahl. He has always been repulsed by the hospitality that good organizations offer to the weak and needy. Gaahl believes in self-sufficiency and abhors the concept of charity. However, his goal in life is to put a (violent) end to the threat of dark magicks. Gaahl is on a mission to rid the world of what he considers to be “spiritual pipedreams” and reintroduce mankind to it’s free and animalistic nature. He believes that life is meant to be lived, not limited by intangible concepts of morality. Gaahl has a morbid fascination with the occult, and is always on the lookout for tomes and scrolls explaining dark sorceries. Knowing his enemy is his biggest advantage. To beat them, he must in a way become them. He carries around a small container of hair grease which he applies frequently. He drinks much and often from his flask. He occasionally plays the hand drum if he gets particularly drunk. Gaahl is guided by vengeance. He will do anything in his power to bring evil forces to justice for their crimes against him and his family. They almost stole from him his opportunity to pursue outlandish wealth and power, which in his mind is a universal right. Morally speaking, he embraces all the carnal vices available to man (and elf). He wants to sculpt a world in which free will is completely unimpeded. He faces danger with cold, calculating resolve. His confidence is surprising. He has learned to set aside fear and apprehension, as they only unsteady his hand. Precision and strenghth are his tools for success.
